I want to change the appearance of polyline as in the attached file.I am not sure where I have to change the code to change the appearance.The connection line is always straight no matter how I change anything.Can you please suggest the solution?

You dont have to change anything. You can do it by yourself or in your code base.
In your code you have to use FreeFormConnections for example... with those you are
able to add bendpoints to specific positions.
