Hello Professionals,

I'm new to birt,
i want to create a report to calculate the total working hours,
and as it is complicated to use only Select statements, i decided to retrieve the 2 columns i need, and calculate the difference between them in BIRT.

Is this scenario viable?

If yes, how can i make some calculations on field before displaying it with the final result?
i have tried to add Data to the table, but i failed to make the calculations i need, as the expression is only accept one line of code, and i want to perform some calculations first.

sorry if i'm not clear,

Thanks in Advance,

I am new to BIRT too.

I think you mean a computed column in your dataset. Double-click your dataset and goto computed column then "new" then you fill in the fields and expression to calculate your difference.

Hope it helps.
