[EMFClient] How to enable the new e4 views (ECP 1.2) in my own application [message #1252830] Fri, 21 February 2014 11:45 Go to next message

Hey guys,

once again I'm puzzled. I reduced my e4 application to almost nothing
(only the Application.e4xmi with no controls set and some handlers) and
my two model bundles (model and model.edit). In my run config I added my
own bundles and the following ecp plugins:
ecp.common
ecp.core
ecp.edit
ecp.edit.swt
ecp.emfstore.core
ecp.ui
ecp.ui.e4
ecp.ui.view
ecp.ui.view.swt
ecp.view.context
ecp.view.model
ecp.view.model.provider.generator
ecp.view.template.model
ecp.view.validation

but the ModelExplorerView and the RepositoryView don't show up. I can't
add them to my Application.e4xmi as they are not in my workspace. So how
do I make these views visible? Do I have to register something somewhere
or don't they appear on their own if the bundle is included in the run
config?

Hi,

if you use your own Application.xmi, you need to integrate the parts
into your model. You can either create own parts or use the existing
ones provided by the e4 bundle of ECP.

Best regards
