The Eclipse Foundation is seeking a highly organized individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, to fill the role of Community Manager for the Eclipse Open Source Community. This role non-technical; it includes a considerable amount of administrative work, and community outreach via social media and other channels.
The successful candidate will work onsite in either our Ottawa, Canada or Zwingenberg, Germany location. There is opportunity for some (limited) travel.
Duties
* Community outreach and evangelism;
* Guiding open source project developers through the Eclipse Development Process;
* Supervision of the onboarding new open source projects (guiding new project developers through the "bootstrapping" process);
* Monitoring open source project activity, discovering, mitigating, and reporting anomalous behaviour;
* Dissemination of key open source project milestones and activity via social media;
* Maintenance of process documentation;
* Maintenance of data related to open source projects and developers; and
*Responding to, or redirecting incoming correspondence
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of professional experience is required
