I've searched this topic and while there are some related post in the Java scene I couldn't find any post in this forum related to my issue in the C/C++ text editor.
In essence, I have a nicely indented C program and when I save, all the whitespaces that were nicely and automatically added when I hit [cr] at the end of a line disappear.
Its especially annoying as its convenient to run the cursor up or down a column without losing your place/level of indent.
I know I can turn off "Remove trailing whitespace" but this seems overkill and perhaps it would be nice to remove superfluous lines at the end of other lines?
Is the deletion of whitespace at the end of every line intentional, include useful indenting white spaces useful in blank lines?
Sorry if this topic has been done to death recently.
