Hello,

Considering the following facts:
- WSDL 2.0 spec has already been in the 'recommendation' phase;
- WSDL 2.0 is supposed to bring:
* simplicity;
* consistency;
* exciting new features - for example the message exchange patterns
(MEPs),

I would like to ask what are the current plans of the WTP team for
providing support for the WSDL 2.0.

Have you considered this possibility? Is it scheduled for a particular
release of the WTP project? Have you discussed this topic with the guys
from the Apache Axis 2 project or the appropriate runtime implementation?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
Emil

Emil,

I can't comment on WTP's plans, but in my copious spare time I've been
toying with a WSDL 2.0 model implementation that's a direct extension of
the XSD model:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=198247

Since EMF supports XML Schema -> Ecore -> Java mapping, not to mention
Java -> Ecore -> XML Schema mapping, it's only natural to think that
WSDL -> Ecore -> Java -> Ecore -> WSDL mapping might also be very useful...

I'll be interested to learn about WTP's plans for WSDL 2.0...
