hi,

we often have the Problem that short names in a TreeTable couldnt be selected by Jubula, because Jubula clicks at the right side of path.

An example in the Image: I try to select the "APP"-Node and use the "Select Entry by Textpath (Specify Column)" of the "Tree Table" Component. So if i execute the test Jubula will click in the middle of start of the node itself and the end of the column.

index.php/fa/16883/0/

is there a Workaround i can use for that case?

Best Regards
Dominik

Hi there Dominik,

I think you might be able to use the tree actions as a workaround if you are only selecting from the first column. Let me know if that helps.

hi,

So the tree Action didn't work as a workaround.

It looks like the "Select" Action trys to select the node in middle of "start of the node path" and "end of component" and the "Select (Specify Column)" Action trys to select in middle of "start of the node path" and "end of column"

Here 2 screenshots where u see the click positions when executing the test

Hi Dominik,

Thanks for the update. Which version of Jubula are you using? I seem to recall that we fixed something with selections in tree tables for a more recent version. There is also this bug report where someone else altered something for the selection mechanism. It isn't patched, and I'm fairly sure that it was before we made changes to the extension mechanism (read the release notes from version 7.0 for full details), but maybe there's something there that could help.

In addition, you could file a bug with as much information as possible.

Thanks!
Alex

Hi,

As Michi stated on the bug report, the extension is for an older version of Jubula, so it would need to be updated. If you've got a developer that can take a look at it, then s/he can get help from the rc-dev list.

best regards,
Alex
