Is there a way to see when the message was originally published? When my client logs in and receive some messages from durable subscriptions it would be nice to know when the message was actually posted, especially if it is "sensor" connected messages.

Hi Francois,

no, MQTT does not provide this facility at the protocol level.

A typical way to solve this would be to include a timestamp in the payload - not ideal, as you then have to have some structure in the payload rather than just raw data.
