Hi,
actually I have the error
Java compiler level does not match the version of the installed Java
project facet.
The queer thing however is, that my project is a plain java project
without any facet. I tried to use the quick fix, but it hung.
To be precise: The fix >Change Java project facet version to Java 5.0<
hangs, which is no wonder, as the project does not have any facets. The
fix >Change Java compiler level to 1.4< actually works and the above
mentioned error disappears. However, when I change the compiler level back
to 5.0 the error reappears again.
An interesting point is, that the error occured only after eclipse itself
hung. I have this problem sometimes after I changed to eclipse 3.2.1.
After I killed and restarted eclipse, the error occured. Maybe this is
relevant.
What can I do?
Regards,
Andreas

Could you reply with a zip file containing your project's metadata?
Basically all of the files starting with . in the root project directory
and the entire contents of the .settings directory.

Hi,
in the meantime I could fix the problem. I deleted the file .markers in
the directory .plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.projects/<projectname>
while eclipse was down. After I restarted eclipse, the problem was gone. I
don't know what happened, though.
In view of this fix, do you still need the required files?

Andreas
