Weglogic 9.2 and JSP debugging [message #182485] Fri, 10 November 2006 17:53 Go to next message

Hello,
I am trying to use the WebTool's generic server for Weblogic 9.2 to
debug JSP's and to update the running server when a jsp is modified.
I can debug/update the java code but not the JSP's. I had poor luck with
the weblogic plugin 1.1.1 and 2.0beta also. And we want to avoid downloading
a whole IDE like MyEclipse or Weblogic workshop.
Has anyone successfully debugged JSP's with weblogic? Suggestions are
appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

hi Mike,

You may have hit the issue discussed in the following bugzilla:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=104401

(in this scenario break points are hit but source lookup fails)

A fix for the problem was made and tested but it requires some more
significant changes to the generic server framework so the issue has
remained unresolved.

Please take a look at the bugzilla and, if it matches your experience, add
your comments.

(note: use of WebLogic Workshop and/or Studio is certainly one route you can
take for JSP debugging)
