Hello,

I recently asked for help launching the p2 "install new software" feature from an rcp application model. The request was answered with a very helpful recommendation (see: http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/1137005/#msg_1137005).

This post is to ask whether or not there are any plans to update this feature so that it can be called from an application model in a relatively easy way and in a way that does not have any 3.x/compatibility requirements.

Is there a roadmap somewhere? Something that describes what features/updates that are in progress for future releases?

Kind regards,
Gregg

Is the feature you're suggesting already reported in a feature request
on bugs.eclipse.org ? This Bugzilla is probably the most reliable place
to get the attention of other code contributors about bugs and feature
requests.
If it's not reported, just do it!
