JSF - unknown tag [message #174739] Tue, 18 July 2006 07:38 Go to next message

When I display a jsp page with JSF in a "Java Project" the editor does not
recognize JSF tags, whereas opening the page in a "Dynamic Web Project"
renders the page without warnings.
So how can I enable JSF support in a normal java project?

Thx!

you need JSF plugin, JSF libraries (1.1 only), and Dynamic Web Project
with JSF Facets

I think so
I had problems even in Dynamic project when something was misconfigured

I guess I'll have to convert the project.

Thx for you time.

By "display" I mean opening a page in the editor.

I expected the editor to know about the JSF tags, so that it wouldn't
display the "unknow tag"-warnings and I would be able to use the
autocompletion feature for the tags.

All that is working at least in a dynamic web project.

I added all the libs of a standard dynamic web project via the build path,
but the tags are still not recognized.
The tag directives are ok.

What exactly do you mean by "placing" tag libs into the project?

Sry for the late reply (accident).
