No server definitions using WTP with Eclipse 3.2 [message #172428] Mon, 26 June 2006 20:58 Go to next message

Hi,

I'm using Eclipse 3.2 RC5?? (not sure of the exact RC number) on an intel MacBook. I added the WTP using the software updates feature under the help menu. The installation appeared to finish correctly. However, when I restarted Eclipse and went to add a new server (need to add Tomcat), there were no server types listed. Apparently I can add definitions to the plugin.xml file for this feature to get the server types to show up. Is there an easier way to add the definitions? Is there a known issue with this in version 3.2? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bennett

You need to update not using the WTP update site entry in update manager but Callisto..

WHen you updated you wiped out WTP1.5 for the inferior WTP1.0 version which does not have default server definitons..

You may have to go into your manage plugins screen and turn off(dsiable) wtp1.0 before updating with Callisto to get it recognize properly..

O.k. Thanks for the response. I'll disable the plugin and update with Callisto in the update manager.
