Pulling XML editing features from WTP to eclipse IDE layer [message #171766]

Hi all,

I'm currently working for the openarchitectureware eclipse plugin (part
of GMT technology project) my goal is to have a well suited editor for
XML files (OAW workflow files): It works well with a few lines of code
thanks to WTP XMLEditor...But OAW team prefer not to depend on WTP for
their editor (which is not related to the web...) so here is my
question: considering that XML is not only usefull in a web context (for
exemple: XML configurations of any software like log4j.xml....) is it
planned to bring back this XML edition logic from WTP to the eclipse IDE
layer (or Jface text or whatever...) ?

I would really need this separation for the OAW project...
