I might be interested..|
My expertise, I am one of the contributors to Antenna ANT tasks and some
other J2ME developer tools accross several profiles including Xletview..
Right now I am working out my funding problem, hopefully I should have
that resolved by Monday so that I contribute..basically I am trying to
get several parties to rasie their pay per technical article policies
so that my living expenses are paid and thus my day job would be
writing technical and tutorial articles about the Eclipse platform..
Hopefully, I should be able to use some of the funding to also secure a
CDC device so I have two devices in two different profiles to test in..
Thus , I should have soem good news on Monday hopefully..
RE: Emeulator framework
I agree it needs to be UEI based too many problems if not..I think we
should see about maintainging an informal dsicusssion channels with
EclispeMe as the general cocnept is there...I have had email disucssions
with the auhtor sometime ago maybe I shoudl start the conversations again?
-Export ANT/Antenna build files
Export Antenna build files and preprocess might need some rework..
Not bad in a way.. Antenna already includes a small preprocessor that
does not conflict with Eclipse auto-code completion..What I am thinking
is if we could offer a better preprocessor that does not conflict with
the one in Antenna we might get the Project lead of Antenna on board.
The pluses is its somewhat easy to manually add Antennna to Eclispe but
we should in the future have the Antenna libs auto configur their
tasks/taskdefs.. the difficulty is that the project had to suppoort
multiple ANT versions as far as how the task defs are defined..
We could change this to only supporting the current ANT versions which
would make having the Antennna libs auto load the taskddefs and task in
Eclipse solveable rather than have the user manaually enter them..
We also the binary compatability flag problem in that Antenna handles
1.4, 1.3.12 fine but support for the change in jdk 5 is not added
yet..mainly because I did not add yet..
In closing hopefully i have good news Monday on my day job and funding
so that I contribute to this project
