rc3 looking good: noticed a couple of things [message #169730]

i noticed some strange behavior in the form of:

(1) disappearing deployment descriptor in project explorer view,
then a "project:clean" would surface a

> CHKJ3000E: WAR Validation Failed: org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.exception.De ploymentDescriptorLoadException: WEB-INF/web.xml tomahawk-1.1.2-examples Unknown 1148128184250 4549
the only thing i noticed is some errors in a few jsp's within the war.

(2) collapsing package labels in "java resources:src" view, where only
the last term in the package would show up (e.g. com.acme.widget ->
widget)...? i think this only afflicted projects created with an older
version of WTP, it seemed to go away when i recreated the project from
scratch under rc3.

just wanted to surface the issues. any ideas on troubleshooting (1)
appreciated. also, details:

- tomcat 5.5.17
- jdk 1.5 r 6

Hi Tony,

Thanks for sharing your problems with the list. The best way to get these
handled (so the problems don't get lost on this list) is to open bug
reports. You can open bug reports via
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs->Report a new bug->WebTools->Web Tools. Copy
and paste what you've stated in this post and select what you think is a
suitable component. (If you don't know, just guess and we'll assign the
problem to the correct component if you didn't guess correctly.)
