Hi,

I installed WTP over eclipse. When running wsdl validation it seems that
the WS-I validation is not working. I tried the same WSDL directly from
the WS-I testing tool and there were warnings but from eclipse there were
no such.

The SOAP WS-I validation does not provide any WS-I warnings when I run it
from the TCP monitoring and generates error of "Problem reading the WS-I
Message Log file" when I choose to validate against a WSDL.

The WS-I test tools can be configured in Eclipse. See
Window->Preferences...->Web Services->Profile Compliance and Validation

Note that the first time WS-I validation is run you will need to be
connected to the internet so the tools can download the WS-I test
assertion document (TAD).

I haven't seen this error but this function should work as you describe.
If you don't mind opening a bug against Web Tools->wst.wsi I will
investigate this error.

Where the WS-I test assertion document is normally located. I'm getting
"TAD document was either not found or could not be processed" error. I
want to check whether I have one, otherwise I want to download it manually.

Mahmut

Hi Lawrence,

Removing cached TAD entries by using the
Window->Preferences->Internet->Cache menu solved my problem. The error
disappeared when fresh TAD files retrieved after removing the existing
ones in the cache.

Thanks,
Mahmut

PS: I already sent the above information to the newsgroup by replying to
Pier's recent message but thought it would be nice if have a record
of this conversion also within this thread.
