Hi,
I have an existing third party Eclipse client without update manager or p2/Equinox. I added this manually to the client.

Now I have the options in the client for example install new software. WHen I use it everything works as expected. THere are no errors but - after restart - new features won't be available. For example Subclipse but also others. Nothing works.

The bundle.info is updated by p2/Equinox it has for example
com.collabnet.subversion.merge,3.0.13,configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/bundles/2110/data/1417952903/plugins/com.collabnet.subversion.merge_3.0.13.jar,4,false

However this directory 2110 does not exist. I have privileges to create directories and so forth. I have for example a standard 3.7.2. Eclipse SDK which works fine in that location.

So the plugins are never installed but p2/Equinox thinks it did install in that folder. There seem to be a check for successful install missing in p2/equinox.

The location is strange btw I think. Should it not install in plugins and features directory? This is what happens in Eclipse SDK 3.7.2 right.

I have worked on this issue for a couple of days. There is not a lot of information on how p2/equinox works. It is a bit a needle in a haystack.

Can it work? Any ideas why it isn't working?
