Hi,
I am reading through the book "Foundations of Ajax". With the book comes
source code, precompiled. I am able to deploy the WAR files in Tomcat and
most things run. I would like to make some changes though. But the code is
set-up as a netbeans project, and of course I would like to have it as a
dynamic Eclipse project. Unfortunately I have no clue how to go about it,
because I am really a newbie with dynamic web projects. Would anyone be
willing to provide help? Or point me to some documentation? That would be
much appreciated!

Hi Guica,

I guess the easiest way to go is to have Netbeans generate a WAR archive
of your project INCLUDING source files, and then import the WAR as a
project into Eclipse (Use the "File > Import > WAR File" menu/wizard in
Eclipse WTP)

Laurent

PS - Note that the opposite (importing an Eclipse WTP project into
Netbeans) is comparatively extremely easy and fast, an absolute no-brainer
process... You just have to tell Netbeans where your source and Web
content folders are, and it manages everything by itself, and you're up
and running your Webapp in 5 minutes... Now, THIS is food for thought for
the Eclipse/WTP development teams...
