Editing and formatting JSP documents (xml syntax) [message #167275] Mon, 24 April 2006 15:05 Go to next message

I would like to write my JSP pages (version 2.0) using XML syntax. My
first attempts to use WTP1.0.1 for this task didn't give good results: for
instance I lost support for taglibs in the editor.

I'm I missing something or as at v1.0.1 support for XML JSP syntax is
still weak and buggy?

Thanks in advance, Fabio.

Were you using the correct jsp:root tag to declare the custom tag
libraries?

No, I was using JSP 2.0 xml document syntax which as far as I understand
doesn't require jsp:root at all. Any way after your reply I converted to
using jsp:root and now I can work correctly tag libraries, but I don't get
autocompletion for jsp actions like jsp:output.

Then the question now is: is WTP currently supporting only JSP 1.2 xml
syntax? If yes, is support to JSP 2.0 xml syntax going to be added in the
near future?

TIA, Fabio.
