Remote launching of Java code [message #15720] Wed, 07 November 2007 12:22 Go to next message

Hi all,

I want to execute a Java project in eclipse (3.3) on another machine which
is
connected over the network. I just want to hit the run button, everything
is copied to the other machine, run there and the output is transported
back to my eclipse console window (or somewhere else).
I thought this might be feasible with TM according to what I read on the
project page. Can somebody tell me if this can be achieved?

Thanks in advance!

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

IBM actually has plugins to do something similar to this task in RSE but
right now the code is not open source. The remote export of the jar is a
separate task, but the launch configurations and integrated remote launching
with console IO does exist. Based on this what you'd like to achieve is
certainly feasible.
