I have already posted this question in this forum http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/f/11/ but maybe this is more appropriate

I can't find any documentation on how to create an extension for Console.
I have managed to create a plugin consisting of a Class extending the IOConsole class the platform correctly recognizes and loads in the ConsoleManager but I can't see how to implement it.

What are the differences among the different already existing Consoles (i.e. Text, Message, etc.)?
What is a IConsoleDocumentPartitioner and how should I use it?
What is a IPageBookViewPage and how should I use it? (the doc just says it is an implementation of the pagebook view... a bit tautological Smile )
