System.out/err not writing to Console [message #157567]

I am working with a WAS 6 app server server in eclipse/WTP 1.0.
I was able to get the server configured and to start in eclipse. In order
to do so I had to use IBM's jre that comes with WAS (added as an installed
JRE)...but now I get no system.out/system.err when I run a project on that
server from eclipse.

Anyone have any idea what may be happening here?
