Possibly incomplete PartDescriptor functionality? [message #1068056]

I have noted that the persistedState on PartDescriptors is not copied to the parts created from them. Also, there are no Context Properties on PartDescriptors.

Does anyone know of reasons behind those absences? I can certainly work around them, but they would make life terrifically easier if they were there, particularly context properties that would be copied to their parts.
