Guys,

First I should say that I think the choice of keynoters this year is
great. I just want to complain about a very minor cosmetic issue: the
speaker photos on the main EclipseCon page are WEIRD.

Specifically Jeff Atwood is wearing a long blonde wig and women's
clothing, and Don MacAskill is wearing some kind of wrestling make-up.

I don't mind this myself, but it's likely to make things harder for
people who need to persuade their bosses to let them attend EclipseCon
on the basis that it is a professional technical conference. Also in
some cultures, transvestitism and aggressive facepaint may cause
offence. Please could some more conventional photographs of these
speakers be used?

(Incidentally if that's really Kevin McGuire's natural hair then he may
wish to consider getting a Clay Shirky hairdo...)

Regards
Neil

Neil,
Those are the pictures the keynote speakers chose to use to advertise
themselves. I admit that it's a bit odd - perhaps Scott can use your
post to convince them to provide more normal photos. Or perhaps we can
just take their pictures off the site and replace them "no picture".

The keynote speakers photos look fairly normal this year.
Maybe the conference attendance will pick up as it has a more
professional appearance?

If not, perhaps we can insert photos from the Foundation staff page: http://www.eclipse.org/org/foundation/staff.php. Talk about your freak shows! Smile
