Dear all,
i'm trying to export a product using the wizard but I always get this error:
index.php/fa/14760/0/

I installed gmf/emf whatever, I added org.eclipse.platform plugin (or
fragment) to the workspace; the export starts and runs but it ends up to
this point and I don't know what to do next.

How can I fix this issue? As you can see from the picture, I'm running
Eclipse on the Mac (10.8.3).

Thank you

I was able to fix this by unchecking "Generate metadata repository" option in the export wizard form.

Not sure why this won't work, if somebody has a clue it would be very much appreciated.

@Fabianno: Can you attach the plugin.xml or the Product itself? One point would be do check the complete plugins from the dependencies from your product. Try pressing Add required plugins, can sometimes help.

Thank you Dan. Please find attached the product file itself.

I'd already pressed that button before but nothing changes, unfortunately.

No clue from the attached file. I have a vmware with Eclipse environment. I need the complete project to give it a try. If possible, you can send me a link with the workspace.

Excuse me, but I am not allowed to share the code as the project is not mine and was founded by a project.

Hi Fabiano,

from the attached product definition, one major problem is that you are trying to export your product with a mix of different platform-specifc plugins (linux, win, mac, x86 & 64).
You should first reduce the plugins to the platform and window-system, you are tring to build on.
Later on, and if you are targeting multi-platform-builds, you are better setup (I would always suggest to do so) to use feature-projects, where you can explicitely define the target environment for each plugin.

Also it might be a good thing to complete the product settings, such as launcher icons, etc. as this could break the build as well. Use the eclipse-ide things as a test approach and modify this when you got it working to create your own product-branding.

Regards
Thomas

Hi,

You should take a look at this (http://ugosan.org/eclipse-rcp-delta-pack/) in case that you want to deploy to multiple platforms.
