I am new to Eclipse/Java and have been learning for about 2 months.

I am having weird Maven issues. It seems to be a moving target with lots of files in my local repository with bad checksums and "Invlaid LOC record" or something similar. I have deleted the jar in question and allowed Maven to redownload it and I sometimes get the same results - sometimes it moves to a different file(s).

Just now I was having some of my code that could not find a package in com.google.gwt even though the file was there. I also have a Maven dependency defined to this file. The file exists in my repository folder.

To fix this I edited my classpath to include the file manually by "Project>Properties>Java Build Path>Add External Jar" and browsing to the file and adding it.

Is there someone out there than can help me sort out this issue?
