Hi,

I've tried several hours getting started with some RAP samples, however without any luck.

Here is what I did:
- Downloaded Juno SR2 "for RCP and RAP developers" (linux, x86)
- Installed target platform (tried both, latest as well as latest stable)

And then:
- New -> Plugin-Project -> Next -> Next -> "RAP Application with View":
-> Run as -> "RAP Application":

Problem accessing /rap. Reason:
ProxyServlet: /rap

Caused by: org.osgi.service.http.NamespaceException: The alias '/rwt-resources' is already in use.
at org.eclipse.equinox.http.servlet.internal.ProxyServlet.registerServlet(ProxyServlet.java:164)
at org.eclipse.equinox.http.servlet.internal.ProxyServlet.registerResources(ProxyServlet.java:194)
at org.eclipse.equinox.http.servlet.internal.HttpServiceImpl.registerResources(HttpServiceImpl.java:78)
at org.eclipse.rap.rwt.osgi.internal.ApplicationReferenceImpl.registerResourceDirectory(ApplicationReferenceImpl.java:190)
... 52 more

I sisn't get this "'/rwt-resources' is already in use." Excetion right from the beginning, in the first place it complained about some entry point not being found.

Any ideas whats going wrong here?

Thank you in advance, Clemens

Hi,
the Eclipse for RCP and RAP developers (Juno SR2) includes RAP Tools
v1.5, which are not compatible with RAP 2.0+. In order to get the RAP
2.0+ version to work you need RAP Tools v2.0. Get it from download page [1].

Hi Ivan,

Thanks a lot - with the updated RAP-Tools version everything works as expected.
At a first glance, rap seems to be amazing =)

Thanks, Clemens
