We're pleased to announce that RAP 2.0 has been released.
This is the first RAP release that exclusively uses the new JSON
protocol. It supports alternative clients and has new APIs to
distinguish between clients, access client specific features, and
writing custom components that use the new protocol. We're excited about
the possibilities this opens up! A detailed list of changes can be found
in the New & Noteworthy .
Also a cleanup of our APIs was due, to create a solid foundation for the
coming releases. The RAP 2.0 migration guide explains the changes
and the necessary adjustments for existing RAP 1.x applications.
The release is available as p2 update sites and as .zip files on our
download page .
We'd like to thank anyone who helped with this release, by contributing
ideas, reporting bugs, and pointing out problems here on this forum.
Your help is appreciated. We hope you enjoy working with RAP 2.0.
