Eclipse freezes on startup [message #1004795]

Hi,

I'm using the Juno SR-1 Eclipse Modeling Tools. Whenever I start Eclipse
and load a workspace Eclipse freezes on the splash screen with the line
'loading workspace'. The only way I can get it to start is to go into
the workspaces .metadata folder and delete the .mylyn folder.

To the best of my knowledge I am not explicitly using Mylyn for
anything. Any thoughts on where I can look to fix this or what I need to
do to fix this are welcome!

Hi,

please capture a stack dump when the freeze occurs:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Mylyn/Contributor_Reference#Debugging . Then file a
bug and attach the stack dump and we will analyze the problem further.

You can also try to close the Mylyn Task List and disable all Mylyn
extensions under General > Startup to prevent Mylyn bundles from loading.
