I created some custom classes as extensions AbstractMyStringColumn,... from AbstractStringColumn, ... and the corresponding interfaces IMyStringcolumn. They are visible in the SDK only if I choose "New Column" > "Show All Templates".

This is contrary to the behavior in custom from fields, where custom fields are mixed up with buildt-in fields and the part "Abstract" of the name is suppressed.

Exists there a configuration mode in the SDK to persuade it to use the same behavior for custom columns as propagated for custom fields?

Hi Thomas,

The column template selection wizard page always behaves like that. There is no possibility to change that configuration. This kind of template selection is the "old" style and should be replaced by the one used e.g. for form fields. The new style directly shows all templates so that you have the possibility to search for all templates right away.

The column template selection wizard page will be refactored for scout 3.9.0 M5 and will then also behave like the form field wizard. see bug 398781 for details.

regards,
matthias
