Hi there,

Maybe I posting to wrong forum, but I didn't find better..

Please could somebody tell me about bug Bug 211784 - Problems with linked folders using variables and spaces?

It was created in far-far 2007 year, but STILL was not fixed Sad Why? I understand that whitespaces can be removed but sometimes it is very useful to use them (folders names became more 'readable' and clear).

Probably somebody of you guys have 'workaround' for this bug? Please share.

P.S. I am using latest eclipse (Version: Juno Service Release 1 Build id: 20121004-1855).

Thanks in advance,
Che.

It's better to ask on the bug itself. It looks like it's just being
ignored. :-(

I suppose it's an avoidable problem. File names with spaces tend to
cause problems in other places in the tools. In URIs they generally
need to be encoded as %20 and then you get into problems that the tools
don't always remember they should do encoding or apply decoding...
Better to use a dash, dot, or underscore...
