I have modified an exisiting RCP application and added some views to the existing perspectives. The problem is that when I release the new version of the application and the end user starts it, the tabs for the new views do not appear at first. I believe this is because of cached workspace state.

I have provided a button to reset the perspectives and force the new views to appear but what I'd like is for some way to have this happen automatically without the end user losing their current perspective customisations.

Is there some way I can do this? Perhaps by modifying the cached workspace configuration? Programmatically?

Thanks,

-felix
