I am trying to use BIRT (V4.2.1) to generate Oracle database reports based on SQL "AWR like" queries.
The requirement is to be able to select the target Oracle instance with some details like username/password, host, port, ...

I have tried to play with the Data Source Property Binding but it fails : Test Connection fails with "There is an error in get connection" even if I use constant strings for User Name or Password in the Property Binding fields.

What is wrong? What would be the best and easiest way to select the target instance at run time?
