I am trying to start a deployment of a project to Websphere and I get the following error trail from running a BIRT Viewer Servlet. (Shortened)

org.eclipse.birt.core.exception.BirtException:error.CannotStartupOSGIPlatform

Here is what I found but it does not help me.

http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/727929/
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=351052

I have the class loader order in Web Sphere set to "Classes loaded with application class loader first." as in the example in the link below.

http://wiki.eclipse.org/BirtPOJO_Viewer_WebSphere_Deployment
I still get the same set of errors and I'm not sure what else I should be doing.
I know it is a bit hard to ask this without posting code, but would someone have an idea as to what I should look for?
Thanks.

Note:
Using Websphere 7.1, BIRT 3.7, Spring 3.1
Another application on the same WAS server is using the same setup using and Engine and Viewer servlet. Most of properties are set the same way. Could there be an overlap here?
Can't share specific code either...

In your code, are you setting BIRT_HOME? If so, with the POJO runtime, in 3.7, you don't need this and it will probably actually cause the error you're getting above. Let me know.

Michael

Add interactivity, scheduling, sharing, live Excel export, and JS integration to your BIRT app with the new, free BIRT server, BIRT iHub F-Type.

I am not using that at all. I am using the following servlets in my web.xml file.
org.eclipse.birt.report.servlet.ViewerServlet
org.eclipse.birt.report.servlet.BirtEngineServlet
