Hello All,

We are working on eclipse 3.1 and WTP 0.7 with JBoss 4.0.2.
All in all we like WTP very much, however there are some irritating
bugs, like web services does not support JBoss, projects that get out of
sync and deployment issues.

We are counting, until 1.0 is released that 0.7.1 will solve some of
these problems.

Do you know the schedule for 0.7.1 - before we start making workarounds
with ANT scripts?

Thanks,

Guy

10/5, but ... this is a pretty minor point release, so don't bet your bu=
siness on it.
We just wanted the practice of the process, and did want to fix some of =
the worst bugs.

You might want to quiery bugzilla for "fixed" with a milestone target of=
1M7.1
There's only about 20 or 30 going in.

Thanks for the input.
Which version should I bet on till 1.0 is coming out? Should I prefer
0.8, or not use WTP at all till 1.0.

Thanks,

Guy

If you are just using wtp to make basic web apps, I'd stick with 0.7.1 u=
nless
you have some particular bug or proglem, then see if its fix on M8.

If, on the other hand, you are looking to extend WTP with your own custo=
m plugins,
then better to get M8 to "keep up" with the changes we are making and pr=
ovide
feedback with.

M8 should be of high quality and perfectly capable of completely replaci=
ng 0.7 release,
its just that the process is "releases" get more testing an scrutiny tha=
n "milestone" versions,
so with a milestone, there's a tiny bit of risk something you really lik=
e might 'break'.
Of couse, if that is the case, we'd love to know it so we can fix regres=
sions, and over time
learn how to avoid them.
