I'm new to Eclipse COSMOS . Now I want to know well about SML . So I need to
import an SML file . The problem is that I'm not able to find one.
I'm very glad if somenoe could help.
Thank you!

Hi Jennifer,

There are some available in the org.eclipse.cosmos.validation.tests
project found in the CVS repository. Also, you can create one by
selecting File -> New -> Other... -> SML-IF File from within Eclipse,
though that still requires you have SML files to build up the SML-IF
file. You can probably find examples on the SML workgroup's web site as
well.

Let me know if you are still stuck and I'll give you more specifics.

Hope that helps,
David

Hi David:
Thank you for your reply .
I've studied on SML Version 1.1 and SML-IF Version 1.1 as well as COSMOS UG
& IG carefully , however , it is pity that I am still stuck . Following what
you told me , I've found some, but still have error when importing . It says
"...is not an SML-IF file" .
I am so worried . Would you give me more specifics please? Thank you very
much.

Hi Jennifer,

Please also check out the document
http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_SML_Test_Plan . This gives a nice web
based interface to the SML-IF files we use to test the SML validator.

Can you please also email me the specific SML-IF file you were trying to
import? Maybe I can spot a problem with the file you are using.

Thanks!
David

Hi David,
Thank you very much . I've found the file I need .
But there are still some problems when I validate an SML-IF document as the
COSMOS user's guide tells .
The error discribes like this
"An internal error occurred during: "Validating...".
org/apache/xerces/xs/XSTypeDefinition . I search on the web but no related
solutions.
Besides, I used the SML-IF files before are from
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.cosmos/ tests/resource-modeling/org.eclipse.cosmos.rm.smlif.tests/te st-resources/TestSMLSample/acyclic/InValidCycles/?root=Techn ology_Project.

Hi Jennifer...

Please try the following step 6.2 if you are using a Sun JRE:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_SDK_Installation#Download_COS MOS_Build_and_Prerequisites

I believe this info is found in the COSMOS installation guide, but I'm
linking an old draft copy of it here for your convenience.

Thanks,
David

David,
Thank you very much for your help. The problem has been solved .
By the way, I scaned the COSMOS installation guide again , no such
instructions appear, only with "minimum IBM SDK 5.0 or Sun JRE 1.5.0_13"
requirement.

Thanks,
Jennifer
