Hello,
i have finally managed to build Eclipse as i wanted to have it (for
about one year since p2 exists) on my Windows machine: 7 different
profiles with a shared bundle pool, i.e., a different app for each
different context that i have when working in Eclipse. I have built all
that with the P2 Agent.
The trouble is: i also want to have these 7 profiles on my Mac and Linux
machine. I think moving the shared p2 bundle pool should be cross
platform and straight forward, but i am kind of clueless regarding the
generation of the application directories. So far, i have tried to
delete all old profile files and adapt the directories within the
..profile file to match my configuration on my Mac so far and the P2
Agent doesn't seem to complain. But how do i get to rebuild the target
product (i guess that is the right term?), i.e., reinstalling all the
stuff from the profiles to the altered application directory (for a
different platform)?
I've had a look at the p2 director wiki page, but what is written there
doesn't seem to be quite the right thing for me i guess (?).
Another question: is there some way to somehow regulary update the
plugins in the bundle pool automatically, for example, by means of a
command line call?
Thanks for any answers in advance!
Ben
