Porting the current head to zos. [message #132610]

I noticed that much older versions of the tptp runtime and agent
controller ran on Zos systems under the "os/390" platform name. I am
interested in updating the existing build to run on current versions of
zos and with jdk 6.0 (because I have need of it there).
Can anyone tell me why the platform was dropped in the first place?
