I am a novice to this to this forum. Sorry if this message had already been answered.

I believe I posted what I consider as a very simple message. How to increase the size of font as I am short sighted on Java Eclipse.

PS. I forgot to click on the "post notification" to email and I honestly tried the search to find user msa969 but was unsuccessful as I forgot the title. Sorry

Go to:
Window -> Preferences -> General -> Appearence -> Colors and Fonts
and select for what you want to change your font.
I guess you want to change the font of the Java Editor View?
For that you have to Java Editor Text Font.

Johannes Paul is right. OR read the manual for easy assistance.

Ok lets do formality
Thank you Johannes Paul and Gregory Payan.

My next question may be a daft one but where would I find the manual? Excuse me but I am a novice to Eclipse and I honestly do not mind reading a 240 page manual. bring it on.

On the mentioned preference page you can change various fonts, e.g. the
text font used in the textual editors. However, the font used in trees
and tables is taken from your OS. If you use large fonts there, then
Eclipse should just pick them up.

To change font size (step-by-step).

1. Go to Window -> Preferences -> General -> Appearance -> Colors and Fonts.
2. Click the triangle next to the Java folder.
3. Click on Java Editor Text Font.
4. Click the Edit button.
5. Change the size of the font.
6. Click OK.
7. Click Apply (if you feel paranoid).
8. Click OK.

And you're done.

If there are other editors whose font size you wished to change, this is
accomplished similarly assuming the editor is represented in this
preference set.

The "manual" is on-line, accessible from the Help menu. Also,
http://www.eclipse.org/documentation (goes back as far as Galileo).

And come back here with questions.

Best of luck.
