Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate software engineer to join our team creating the content development tools used to make LeapFrog's award-winning products. You'll work closely with our business development, firmware, and creative teams to design and implement the necessary tools to support creative, cost effective, educational and fun products for both internal and worldwide development. Our software is developed primarily in Java and C/C++ using a variety of standard and proprietary tools. Our Java programming leverages the Eclipse IDE.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Design, implement, test and document quality tool software to assist in the creation of new world class content
• Participate in SCRUM project planning and development
• Work with business development, R&D and content development team members to refine tool feature definitions and tasks, and then deliver on those commitments
• Support existing tools and content development teams

Education & Experience
• Proven architecture, implementation and debugging skills in Java (C/C++ a definite plus)
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in consumer product development, Windows/Mac/Linux application development, and software developer tools a plus
• Experience in Eclipse plugin development a plus
• Experience in game development a plus
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 3-5 Years of related software development experience
