I am a total newbie to programing and am using Eclipse 4.2 on Ubuntu 12.04. Eclipse runs and compiles fine but when I go to run the program, I get the "use device" dialog and am forced to use the AVD as the program doesn't seem to detect the real devices specifics. I get a bunch of question marks and such. The device I want to use is a ZTE Score X500 which is running on the android 2.3.4 platform. Is there a way to make Eclipse detect my device and if so how?|
debug mode is set on the phone.
tried cycling the debug option both while connected AND disconnected to the computer.
OS detects the sdcard as a new drive and the media player wants to open the files.
can't seem to invoke adb commands in X no matter which directory I'm in. (current file location is /Documents/android-sdks/platform-tools/).
