Hello,

Since few days ago, my Hudson instance is stopping unexpectly.

Here is the end of the hudson.log file:

Sep 3, 2012 11:41:07 PM hudson.model.Run run

SEVERE: Failed to chmod: /opt/maven/maven3/apache-maven-3.0.4/bin/mvn
Sep 3, 2012 11:45:23 PM sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor339 invoke
INFO: Checking Maven 3 installation version
Sep 3, 2012 11:45:23 PM sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor340 invoke
INFO: Detected Maven 3 installation version: 3.0.4

There are only info messages and one SEVERE:
Sep 3, 2012 11:45:23 PM org.hudsonci.utils.tasks.Chmod process
SEVERE: Failed to chmod: /opt/maven/maven3/apache-maven-3.0.4/bin/mvn

Here is the current status of the designed file:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 ic ic 5064 2012-01-17 09:47 mvn

3 questions about it:

  • Can it be the cause of the shutdown of Hudson?
  • How to avoid this SEVERE error?
  • Why this CHMOD command is called?

I take a look to syslog, there are no errors related to Hudson.

I recently added some jobs. Can it be possible that Hudson run out of memory without dumping this information? The added jobs run on slaves so it should not add too much charge.

Install information:
Hudson 2.2.0 as a service on Linux Ubuntu

Thanks by advance for any hints,
