I'm using Eclipse SDK Version 3.1.2 running in Windows XP.

I downloaded all files from this site to install the Visual Editor:
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ve/downloads/drops/S-1.2M2 -200602271803/

These are all the files that I'm using for the installation:
A ) Eclipse build eclipse-SDK-3.2M5a:
1 )eclipse-SDK-3.2M5a-win32.zip
B ) EMF build 2.2.0M5:
2 ) emf-sdo-xsd-SDK-2.2.0M5.zip
3 ) emf-sdo-SDK-2.2.0M5.zip
4 ) xsd-SDK-2.2.0M5.zip
C ) GEF Build 3.2M5:
5 ) GEF-ALL-3.2M5.zip
D ) Visual Editor Runtime
6 ) VE-runtime-1.2M2.zip

I tried several times but the problem is the same, when I open up Eclipse
and trying to create a new Visual Class, I input the new class name, but
when I press the finish buttom, the window stack there, and do nothing. When
I press cancel to exit the window, I see that an empy class was created any
way (with not code). I can't do anything with that class, even delete don't
work. By the way, if I try to delete the class, I receive a error message.

I don't know what is wrong in my installation. Could be that I'm missing
some installation file or there are any steps that I have to follow in the
installation process?.

I'll appreciate any help.

Thanks.

By the way, it won't be your problem, but you don't need all of those
EMF zips. For example emf-sd-xsd-SDK (2) includes (3) AND (4) within it
already. (3) AND (4) would be duplicates.

Rich, thanks for your reply.

I tried so many times this weekend, then I ended up using Visual Editor
update site and now it's working just fine!! . I'm migrating my project from
JDeveloper to Eclipse and see how that goes. I realize, though, that is much
better if the software is installed from the software update site. I mean,
easier for the end user like me.

Thanks again.
Carlos.
