Hi,

I am trying to deploy stardust in weblogic 10.3.3, I getting following issue

software
Eclipse Helios R2
Weblogic 10.3.3

1) Running Using Eclipse adapter server

-> created sample dynamic project added stardust portal
-> Added Oracle weblogic server tool to eclipse server & did all configuration
-> Right click on project and try to run as "Run on server"

Getting following issue

Error with publish task 'Split Source Mapping Generation Task'.
Error processing split source mapping:
'C:/D/tutorial/weblogic/TestStardust/carnot-jackrabbit/WEB-INF'='/WEB-INF'

WebLogic split source deployment only supports resource folder mapping to EAR or web content root.
Please change the deployment mode to exploded archive in Server Editor.

2)Running weblogic console individually

->created sample dynamic project added stardust portal in eclipse
-> Exported as war file
-> Deployed in server

getting following issue.

There was a failure when processing annotations for application stardust.war.
Class not found exception .
com.infinity.bpm.rt.impl.api.ws.servlet.IppWsServlet

Please help on this...

the WTP weblogic plugin seems not to be compatible with the Stardust WTP project.

You could either
a) create a WAR file based on the maven archetype for weblogic:

Or on the Stardust knowledge base:

or
b) Export your dynamic web project as a war (project context menu) which you then adjust as required for a weblogic deployment.

In a Weblogic environment a number of things are different from a tomcat deployment (which is what the RAD environment is based on). That includes JMS, transaction manager, probably the database, Jackrabbit DMS.

Hi Robert,

I was following below link to create stardust war file using maven.

I found we need to have (https infinity dot sungard dot com)/repository credential to get require artifacts which mentioned in document.
But I don't have repository credential & did not find any signup option.

Please help me out in this, if you have any idea.

Gayatri,

unfortunately we are not yet completely integrated into the eclipse build process. That is also why there is no binary distribution available for easy download on the website. This is the very next step for us! Once all libraries we need to build are approved by Eclipse we can produce an official Stardust binary. This should be within the next 2-3 weeks I guess. Once we can build on Eclipse infrastructure we will work on publishing the Stardust artefacts into a public maven repository.

For the time being that leaves you with two options:

1) Checkout stardust and build it yourself. How to do this is described here:

2) Procure a trial license of IPP. This will also grant you access to the maven repository:

I would suggest option 2 to bridge the gap until we have a public Stardust maven repo.

Deployed successfully in weblogic & stardust portal page is coming up.

But when I am trying to login(with/without model deploy) getting below exception

Hi,

I took the latest stardust eclipse plugin and was trying to deploy sample project in weblogic 10.3.3. Application portal comes up, but not able to logged in getting following exception

1) Class not found Exception ag.carnot.web.jsf.common.LoginDialog.
[Changed to] org.eclipse.stardust.ui.web.viewscommon.login.dialogs.LoginDialogBean
[Fixed]

Gayatri,

by latest Stardust eclipse plugin you used the the nightly eclipse update site?

This build works for you on RAD/Tomcat?

We have not tested the Stardust builds in other deployment scenarios than Spring/Tomcat so far. We will provide archetypes for platforms like Weblogic one we have a maven repository for Stardust. Then we will also test on those platforms. This work is currently in progress.

If you have access to IPP then you can use that weblogic archetype instead of the RAD export for the time being.

Could be a class loading issue. Did you add anything to the WLS default class path?

We used Stardust eclipse plugin the nightly eclipse update site.
The build works fine with Tomcat.
I didn't add any thing to WLS default class path.
