In an effort to clean up the package explorer view of an old project with a lot of root level data files I tried cleaning up by creating a data directory and moving the offending files it. I was a bit nonplussed when it disappeared but eventually found the "resource filters" and added the directory as an "include" but then my source directory disappeared. In the process of trying to get it back without removing the new data directory something stripped the CVS directories from the source tree, adding to the difficulties.

Right now the view of the src directory is displaying all the CVS directories and insisting that there are multiple changes, but the team synchronize thinks things are copacetic. I still can't see the data directory that I added using package explorer but can see the copies I added externally, the difference being that they have an extension.

How do I clean up the view in the src directory?

How do I make the data directory visible in the package explorer?
