HELP!!! Eclipse will not open. Ubuntu 12.04 [message #897652]

I am new to eclipse and just started setting it up on my Ubuntu 12.04 machine. It worked earlier, but as I was installing the required tools to start developing I ran into this problem.
I am coming up with the error message:
An error has occurred. See the log file
/home/gary/.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.7.0_155965261/configuration/1343166870096.log.

I updated my system to see if that was the problem. I cannot at this point find the file it is telling me to check. Somebody help me out.
