P2 mirror selection [message #119075] Tue, 07 October 2008 16:21 Go to next message

Hi there,

Is there any way to configure which mirrors are used by p2 or at least to block certain mirrors to be used? Automatic mirror selection -
like pretty much any automation - is all nice and good, as long as there's a way to override the automation.

Case in point: There is a mirror for the Ganimede release close to our geographic location that is regularly picked by p2. This mirror is
horribly, horribly slow (between 3-5k) and unreliable (with broken connections all over the place, that cause plug-in installation to lock
up). So we are looking for a way to tell p2 to not choose this mirror. Can this be done?

Regards,
Carsten

Not currently but I think it would be worthwhile to open a bug
report/enhancemenet request.
