Does the RAC persist running process information? [message #119054] Wed, 05 December 2007 10:56 Go to next message

Hi,

I'm new to using the TPTP (4.3.1 with Eclipse 3.2.2) and I am using the
RAC. I have a simple client based on the TPTPProcess sample that
attempts to start/stop applications registered in the ApplicationAliases
section of the serviceconfig.xml file.

I start an application in the first run of the client using IProcess
process = ac.createProcess(<alias name>); and then invoking
process.launch() after first invoking process.isActive(). During
subsequent runs process.isActive() always returns false.

Is this expected behaviour? If the onus is on the client or a plugin
extension to the RAC to add persistence then that's fine, I just want to
know for sure.

Thanks,
Jack

Correction - I am using AC (as in the New Technology agent) as opposed
to RAC which is the older one.
