My application includes other plugins that contribute views. I want to remove them from the Show View menu choice. I am trying to use activities but no success. I tried both equality and regex matches.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is the excerpt from my plugin.xml

   <extension point="org.eclipse.ui.activities">
  <activity
        id="base.contributedViews"
        name="contributedViews">
  </activity>
  <activityPatternBinding
        activityId="base.contributedViews"
        isEqualityPattern="true"
        pattern="org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.views/org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.views.data.DataView">
  </activityPatternBinding>
  <activityPatternBinding
        activityId="base.contributedViews"
        isEqualityPattern="true"
        pattern="org.eclipse.ui.views/org.eclipse.ui.views.PropertySheet">
  </activityPatternBinding>
  <activityPatternBinding
        activityId="base.contributedViews"
        isEqualityPattern="false"
        pattern=".*birt.*/.*view.*">
  </activityPatternBinding>
   </extension>
